This is a roundup of all the breaking news in the Las Vegas valley for June 27, 2017.

4:50 P.M.

Power has been restored to the UNLV main campus.

4:25 P.M.

NV Energy is making progress in its efforts to restore power. The number of customers without power has dropped to 1,800.

3:30 P.M.

UNLV police say that the power outage is affecting the main campus and surrounding areas.

2:47 p.m.

8,000 customers without power in Maryland Parkway/Flamingo Road area. NV Energy working to restore power now. No known cause. Click here for outage map.

1:45 P.M.

Las Vegas police are on the scene of an incident in the 8200 block of Azure Shores Court near West Desert Inn Road and South Durango drive. The incident began at around 10:15 a.m. when a female caller said she was involved in a domestic dispute about an hour before she called police. She said that a man pulled a shotgun on her and she left the home, leaving her 7-year-old autistic girl at the residence. SWAT was called to the scene and nearby homes were evacuated. 

Police say that the situation ended when the man gave himself up around 2 p.m. No one was injured in the incident.

6 A.M.

A police vehicle has crashed near the exit ramp of the I-15 at Craig Road.

5:18 A.M.

An employee who works at Spanish Hills Rehabilitation Center called to report a male came inside the center who was armed with a handgun, pacing the halls and making threatening comments.

Patrol officers arrived, established containment and implemented some road closures. Reports state that roughly 15-30 employees and 100-150 patients were inside the center at the time.

Police were able to identify an address they believed to be the suspect's residence and sent units from Boulden Area Command responded to the address in the 2000 block of Winwood. When they arrived the unit located the suspect and took him into custody.

The adult male suspect is being arrested for assault with a deadly weapon & burglary.
