UPDATE: Police say that the crash near Charleston Boulevard and Fort Apache Road involved a death.
5:51 P.M.
Las Vegas Police reported a crash near Charleston Boulevard and Fort Apache Road. At least one person was seriously injured. Officers say the crash involved a stolen vehicle. Drivers should expect delays for the next few hours.
5:25 P.M.
UPDATE: NHP released more information about the fatal crash. A truck pulled into an intersection near 215 and Sunset Road on a red light and hit a car. The crash caused the truck to roll. The female driver of the car, who was in her 20s, was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. Meanwhile, the truck driver suffered non-life threatening injuries.

UPDATE: NHP says that the crash near 215 and Sunset Road is now fatal. The Sunset Road off-ramp is closed. Avoid the area.

Nevada Highway Patrol is reporting a critical injury crash near the 215 beltway and Sunset Road. At least one lane closed. Motorists should consider alternate routes.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says that the package on the Las Vegas Strip was not suspicious. It was an unattended item. Police are leaving the scene.
10:17 A.M.
Las Vegas police are investigating a suspicious package on a bus located near the intersections of Las Vegas Boulevard and Russell Road. Both northbound and southbound lanes of Las Vegas Boulevard were shut down between Reno Avenue and Mandalay Bay, but have since reopened.
6:30 A.M.
Police say the suspect in the deadly shooting on Lamont Street used an assault rifle and is claiming self-defense. Investigators are still working to figure out what started the initial confrontation between the suspect and the two victims. The suspect is still being questioned at this time, and police say they are being cooperative. READ MORE.

Las Vegas police are investigating a homicide in the 4300 block of N. Lamont Street near Nellis Boulevard and Craig Road. Police say two men were shot. One of them died at the hospital. Police have a suspect in custody.
