12:31 P.M.

A Southwest flight taking off from McCarran Airport  headed to Burbank, California was forced to return and make an emergency landing due to an engine problem.

Reports say 106 people were onboard of the aircraft at the time.

The plane was able to safely land at McCarran Airport and no injuries have been reported.

12:07 P.M.

A U.S. Bank inside a Smith's grocery store in the 3800 block of East Flamingo Road, near Sandhill Road, was robbed. There was only one suspect and witnesses reported to police that no weapon was used or seen. No one was injured. An unknown amount of money was taken.

6:30 A.M.

Police are actively searching a neighborhood near Lake Mead and Rampart boulevards for a suspect involved in a car theft. They've set up a perimeter around the neighborhood and dogs are being used in an attempt to find the suspect.

5 A.M.

A woman is in the hospital after being shot in the back by her boyfriend near Fort Apache and Sahara.

 

The boyfriend was taken into custody by police.

Overnight

A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car in the area of Deer Springs and Durango. Officers say that the pedestrian was at fault in the incident.
