Several neighbors are upset and feel violated after thieves ransacked some cars on their street.

The thieves smashed out windows to vehicles in their neighborhood, The Lakes, near Durango Drive and Desert Inn Road.

In the last month, Robert Lombardo's vehicles have fallen victim to thieves three times.

"Things are getting worse," he said.

Lombardo had no idea until two little boys came and knocked on his door to tell him.

"The neighbor on the corner there, his back window in his white truck was smashed," Lombardo said. "Two houses down from him, a man with a white Suburban ... his back window was smashed out also."

Lombardo feels violated and angry and can't understand why someone would risk so much to get off with such petty things. In this case, the thieves got away with $1,000 worth of tools.

"Is it really worth it for you to go to jail, to break my window for $400, to ruin your life and to go to jail for five years?"

Lombardo says even though he and his neighbors all called police, an officer never responded to take reports.
