A lot of things have changed in almost three weeks, but there’s one constant — April the giraffe is still pregnant.
The Animal Adventure Park in Binghampton, New York began a constant live stream of the 15-year-old giraffe on Feb. 22, promising that she could give birth at any moment. But nearly three weeks later, April still has yet to give birth to her baby.
Here’s a short list of everything April’s baby has missed since Adventure Park started its live stream.
-All 30 MLB teams reported to Spring Training and began playing games
-NBA player Russell Westbrook scored 520 points in 16 games for the Oklahoma City Thunder. He's also recorded 10 triple doubles during that span.
- A pregnant woman posted a viral video impersonating April. Her video has been viewed 300 million times. She also gave birth to her own baby.
-President Trump signed new travel ban from six Muslim-majority nations. Judges in Hawaii and Maryland issued rulings that blocked the ban from taking place.
-The 68-team field for the NCAA Tournament was announced, and now only four teams remain: Gonzaga, North Carolina, Oregon and South Carolina.
April has been pregnant for 15 months, and has been in labor throughout the live stream, though the Adventure Park says that her “active labor” phase will last only about 30 minutes. Her new baby with be her fourth calf.
April’s baby is expected to weigh 150 pounds and stand 6-feet tall.
