(KTNV) -- Was it just a coincidence or some sort of statement?
That is the question this morning after the resemblance between "Satan" and the president of the United States was noticed by several viewers of the History Channel's hit series "The Bible."
"Satan" is played by highly-acclaimed Moroccan actor Mehdi Ouzaani.
On Sunday night, after the episode aired, Twitter was on fire with people saying things like "Does Satan look familiar to anyone else?"
"The Bible" has been a surprise hit in the ratings. The religious miniseries has attracted 13.1 million viewers.
Last Wednesday, it beat "American Idol."
The producers for "The Bible" are claiming that it is just a coincidence. The History Channel issued a statement that the channel has the "highest respect for President Obama" and "It's unfortunate that anyone made this false connection."
