(KTNV) -- It's not the kind of hole in one that you want. A sinkhole in Illinois recently swallowed a man while he was golfing.
Mark Mihal says it was the most terrifying thing that has ever happened to him.
One minute he was on the fairway and the next he was swallowed up by the earth and all he could think about was the Florida man that was killed after a sinkhole opened up under his bedroom two weeks ago.
Luckily, Mihal did not meet the same fate.
His golfing buddies jumped into action and one of them even joined him in the hole until the general manager of the golf course arrived to help him out.
Crews are now filling the sinkhole.
Mihal only suffered minor injuries -- he dislocated his shoulder.
He says he will be golfing again soon but probably not on that course.
The incident happened at the Annbriar Golf Course in Waterloo, Ill.
