(KTNV) -- A high school girl in California recently got way more than she bargained for when she hid in a locker to find out who was stealing stuff from backpacks during gym class.
Justine Betti just wanted to find out why money and other valuables kept disappearing from backpacks left in a locker room.
So, she hid in a locker armed with her cellphone camera.
But, it was not a student as she suspected. Instead, it was a popular teacher who had been employed for more than 30 years.
Betti took the video to the principal of the school who told her to get rid of it.
But she had already sent it to her dad and to other girls who had already sent it out.
The teacher is now on administrative leave while the incident is being investigated.
Betti says the decision to turn in the teacher was not an easy call.
