(KTNV) -- Here is one that might surprise you -- parents fighting against homework.
They say that enough is enough.
Kids have often said that they are receiving too much homework but more and more parents are starting to agree.
In one town in upstate New York, the parents have actually started an online petition to stop homework during school breaks and holidays.
Many people who have signed the petition think that homework, in general, eats into family time and really doesn't help their kids learn more.
There are studies that support this position. Even though many schools are assigning more homework, some research has found that it might not be helping much and does cut into valuable family time.
Of course, many schools disagree.
