Disabled cruise in the Gulf of Mexico a nightmare for passengers
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Carnival Cruise Lines is canceling 12 voyages for a ship that's been without power since Sunday.
The Triumph is now being towed to Alabama after a fire in the engine room left it dead in the water, knocking out electricity.
Carnival plans to give the passengers a full refund and a voucher for another trip. But for the moment, the only things most of the 4,000 passengers can think about are the backed-up toilets and leaking sewage.
The Triumph had other mechanical issues that delayed a voyage in late January.
It's expected to arrive in Mobile, Alabama late Wednesday night.
