A case of the "Winter Blues"?
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- If you woke up feeling a little "blue," there may be a reason why.
In 2005, UK psychologist, Cliff Arnall identified the third Monday of the year as "Blue Monday," for a hand full of reasons. It's the third, full week of the new year, and according to MSN Money, failed resolutions loom in the air, light levels are dim, debt from holiday-shopping is kicking in and the weather; the weather is chilly, cold and the skies are gloomy.
Yahoo! News lists a few ways you can beat the blues on this dreary day. Some of those suggestions include: sitting by a window, taking a stroll outside, practicing light therapy, exercising your muscles, going to bed before the sun sets and waking before the sun rises. These practices will help increase the amount of light you absorb and happiness you exude.
We hope you keep it together and don't meet face to face with the "most depressing day of the year."
