Georgia lawmaker wants to arm school principals
(KTNV) -- A Georgia lawmaker thinks he has the solution to safety in schools. He says that school principals should have guns.
He says that it would be optional. Any principal that wants to participate would have to go through basic police training and take annual certification and safety classes.
The lawmaker says that schools need options since most can't afford to hire private armed security guards.
Several parents' groups and school board members are fighting the proposed bill.
