Oregon bus crash company had history of violations
Pendleton, OR (KTNV) -- The Canadian tour bus company, involved in that deadly crash in Oregon last weekend, was cited in 2010 and 2011 for serious violations of motor coach rules.
But nothing on the Department of Transportation's website for the public indicated there were previous problems with the bus line.
Among the violations were failure to investigate drivers' backgrounds and failure to regularly inspect push-out windows.
On Dec. 30, nine passengers died and 38 were hurt when a Mi Joo Tours bus skidded on ice on Interstate 84 near Pendleton, Oregon, crashed through a guardrail and tumbled down a steep embankment.
The crash is still under investigation.
The bus was en route from Las Vegas to Vancouver.
