(KTNV) -- A 6-year-old boy in Silver Springs, Maryland, got into a heap of trouble for making a gun gesture with his hand and saying "pow."
He was kicked out of school for the action. Administrators say that the boy was threatening to shoot a classmate.
The family attorney says he was only playing and believes the one-day suspension last month was because of the shooting at Sandy Hook a week earlier.
The mother says she is worried about how this incident will be viewed years down the road.
The boy's family wants his school record to be cleared and may ask that he be moved to a different school.
