Baby recliner recalled after reported deaths
Major U.S. stores are recalling a popular baby recliner, after reports of five deaths linked to the device.
Amazon, Buy Buy Baby, Diapers.com and Toys R Us are recalling 150,000 Nap Nanny recliners, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The CPSC said defects in the design "pose a substantial risk of injury and death to infants."
There have been 92 reports of infants hanging or falling out of the Nap Nanny, even when the harness is used.
The retailers are issuing the recall because the manufacturer is unable or unwilling to participate, according to the commission.
The product was originally recalled in 2010 after one reported death.
