Actor and director Ben Affleck says no to possible Senate seat

(KTNV) -- Actor and director Ben Affleck has announced that he will not running for John Kerry's Senate seat in Massachusetts if the senator is confirmed as secretary of state.
Affleck made the announcement late Christmas Eve on his Facebook page.
The actor has been an popular presence in the political world recently.
Affleck also mentioned his charity work in the Congo in his post on Facebook. He also praised Kerry saying that "We are about to get a great Secretary of State."
President Obama announced his nomination of Kerry last Friday. Hillary Clinton is currently the country's top diplomat.
