McAfee in Miami after deportation from Guatemala
MIAMI (AP) -- Anti-virus software founder John McAfee told reporters outside his Miami Beach hotel that U.S. authorities have made no efforts to question him.
McAfee left Guatemala and came to Miami Wednesday night after weeks of evading Belizean authorities who want to question him in a homicide.
McAfee said he received "the warmest welcome of my life" from the airline pilot and customs agents.
McAfee was deported from Guatemala after sneaking in illegally. Belize officials want to question him about the death of a U.S. expatriate who lived near him.
McAfee says he did not kill the neighbor and feared his life would be in danger if he turned himself in to Belizean authorities. He has not been charged with a crime.
