Romney to announce running mate at U.S.S. Wisconsin in Norfolk
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) – Presumptive Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney is planning to announce his choice for vice president.
The announcement will be made Saturday morning at 6 a.m., Las Vegas time.
There has been speculation for weeks about who will be chosen. Reportedly, the short list includes Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan, Ohio Senator Rob Portman and former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty.
Romney’s campaign released a statement Friday night which said the announcement will be made at the U.S.S. Wisconsin which is a museum ship at the Nauticus Museum in Norfolk, Virginia.
Saturday morning will begin with a tour of the U.S.S. Wisconsin at 8:45 a.m. Eastern time followed by former Governor Romney’s announcement. Norfolk is the first stop on Romney’s “The Romney Plan for a Stronger Middle Class.”
