Authorities searching for 2 Missouri sisters
EDGERTON, Mo. (AP) -- Authorities are continuing to search for two sisters who disappeared from a western Missouri home on Friday, leaving behind two young children, their purses and a cellphone.
The Platte County Sheriff's Department said Sunday that authorities are speaking with a person of interest and have executed two search warrants.
Britny Haarup, 19, and Ashley Key, 22, were reported missing Friday after Haarup's fiance found his 6- and 18-month old daughters alone in the same crib.
Relatives say there was blood on the couch and that firearms belonging to the fiance were missing from the home in Edgerton, about 35 miles north of Kansas City.
On Saturday, a truck linked to the women was found parked on a gravel road.
Family members say Key had been running with a bad crowd.
