Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A professional head lice removal company says outbreaks are up in Philadelphia, parts of New York, New Jersey and Delaware.
The owner of Lice Lifters says the spring is a major time for head lice, partly because kids are using more helmets for activities like biking, baseball and softball.
It's also a time some kids are having more slumber parties.
Lice Lifters suggests the best way to prevent outbreaks is by tying back long hair and detecting lice early.
