UPDATE AUG. 22: The Clark County coroner has ruled Janine Cassidy's cause of death as arterial sclerotic cardiovascular disease.

HENDERSON (KTNV) -- An 80-year-old Henderson woman who was reported missing this week has been found dead inside her vehicle.

Henderson police said Janine Cassidy went missing Wednesday around 11:45 a.m. when she was seen driving a Lincoln Town Car in the area of St. Rose Parkway and Interstate 215. She was driving to Saint Rose Dominican Hospital – Siena Campus to meet with a family member but never arrived.

Cassidy was found dead Thursday around 5:30 p.m. in the 2700 block of East Pebble Road, near Eastern Avenue, inside the Lincoln Town Car. The Clark County coroner will determine the cause and manner of death.

Cassidy's family had told police they had been concerned for her safety due to possible early onset dementia.
