One man is critically injured after being struck by an SUV on Monday.
It happened around 5:15 p.m. near Cheyenne Avenue and Civic Center Drive. The victim was attempting to cross the street, according to his wife Colleen Wilson.
"Right before my eyes, the car just came out of nowhere," said Wilson, "he got hit."
The speed limit on that stretch of Cheyenne is 40 miles per hour.
The crash happened outside of a marked crosswalk.
"Everybody uses this as a crosswalk, they really need to put one right here," said Wilson.

Wilson's husband has been taken to UMC Trauma.
"I'm just hoping and praying that he doesn't go, because we do have two beautiful girls together," said Wilson.
Police said the driver of the SUV stayed on scene and is cooperating.
The investigation continues.
