North Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The mother accused of tying her daughter to a bed and leaving her there for days appeared in court on Friday.

Action News is learning more about the horrible conditions police say the little girl was forced to endure.

According to a police report, Laketha Moore left her daughter alone while she went to work for more than 10 hours a day because she didn't have anyone to watch her.

Police said she told them she started tying her daughter to the bed because she would ransack the house if left untied.

The report describes the condition of the room police say Moore locked her daughter in. They say it reeked of urine and was filled with trash and filth. There was a pan with urine and feces that the little girl went to the bathroom in.

Police said when they found the little girl, her hair was so matted that her hair barrettes had to be cut out. She had a black eye and was cut and bruised from head to toe. Police said the mom confessed to beating the girl with a belt until she blacked out.

Police said Moore left her daughter without food because say she told them the 4-year-old was a picky eater.

Moore's bail was set at $620,000.
