Arrest made in series of home invasions targeting seniors
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Police have made an arrest after a recent series of home invasions in North Las Vegas.
Davon Lyons, 19, was arrested in connection with the home invasions which involved victims over 60 years old.
Investigators said Lyons and an accomplice followed elderly victims into their open garages, holding them at gunpoint and entering their homes. One suspect watched the victims while another ransacked their homes, investigators believe.
The criminals stole jewelry, electronics, money and other items. In one case, police said they cut phone lines to prevent their victims from calling 911.
Police arrested Lyons in his North Las Vegas apartment, where they found stolen items, stolen guns and marijuana.
Lyons was booked at the Clark County Detention Center on several charges.
Police are still working to locate Lyons' accomplice.
