Police still consider 17-year-old's death a hit and run

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The parents of Alexis Monasterio soon began asking questions after their daughter died shortly after midnight on March 17.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, her death is considered a hit and run.

LVMPD released another report this morning that says additional witnesses have come forward about the incident.

Some of those witnesses contacted LVMPD directly and others left tips with Crime Stoppers.

Those witnesses have told police that Monasterio may have been seated or lying down in the roadway when she was hit by a vehicle.

In addition, video evidence from local businesses shows several vehicles that may be suspect in the incident. The video evidence is currently being reviewed.
