Police looking for shooting suspect, release video of robbery

North Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- North Las Vegas police are looking for a man who shot a store clerk late Wednesday night at an AM/PM convenience store located in the 2000 block of East Cheyenne Avenue.

The police have released a YouTube video that shows a black male in a black hoodie entering the store, walking behind the counter, and demanding money from the two store clerks while brandishing a gun.

According to police, one of the store clerks refused and pulled out a personal taser. There was a struggle and the suspect fired his gun once at the clerk.

The suspect then fled on foot to a nearby casino, where he removed some of his clothing. Police searched the area for several hours but was unable to find the suspect.

The clerk was transported to University Medical Center Trauma with non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives with NLVPD is asking for help in identifying the suspect. He is described as a black male adult, about 50 years old, five-feet 10-inches tall and 200 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a red shirt, blue jeans and white shoes. Police say that he should be considered armed and dangerous.
