Mother of Nevada congressman Amodei dies at 80
CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) -- Republican Nevada Congressman Mark Amodei has announced the death of his 80-year-old mother.
Joy Longero Amodei died Tuesday. An Amodei spokesman in Washington says the congressman went home to Carson City Tuesday, and it's not clear which day he'll return to work.
The congressman's office issued a statement Wednesday saying details on the funeral would be forthcoming.
Amodei represents the northern half of Nevada.
