Motorcylist dead after hitting car on West Ann Road
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas police are investigating a deadly accident involving a motorcyclist shortly before 2 a.m. Tuesday morning in the northwest part of the Valley.
According to Las Vegas police, a 26-year-old male on a 2008 Suzuki GSXR1000 motorcycle was traveling east on West Ann Road near North Blooming Street when it changed lanes and hit the back of a car traveling in the same direction.
Ann Road was closed for several hours between Rainbow and Tenaya.
The motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and was killed.
The driver of the car was not injured and will most likely not face any charges.
Police are trying to determine if alcohol was also a factor.
The motorcyclist was later identified as 26-year-old Jacob David Poulsen.
This morning's accident was the 27th traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction in 2013.
