Local supermarket donates to elementary schools
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Four local elementary schools received some needed help on Monday.
Workers at La Bonita Supermarket on Las Vegas Boulevard North and Belmont have been collecting 10 percent of sales of certain items and handed the donation over to the schools.
In all, the four schools will split $6,200.
"We're hoping it will help them in any way they need it," said Cristina Martinez with La Bonita. "Whether it's books, whether it's supploes, in any way these kids need help we would like to help them."
The elementary schools are Reynaldo Martinez, Fay Herron, Crestwood and George E. Harris.
