Las Vegas could hit record-breaking temperatures Friday
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Temperatures in the Las Vegas area could break records on Friday.
Chief Meteorologist Bryan Scofield predicts a high of 88 degrees in Las Vegas on Friday. The record high temperature for March 15 is 87 degrees.
Some areas could see temperatures spike to 90 degrees. The last time it hit 90 degrees in Las Vegas was October 8, 2012.
Warm weather is expected to continue thoughout the weekend, with a high of 86 on Saturday and 80 on Sunday. Temperatures remain in the low 80's early next week.
Wednesday marks the official start of spring.
