Sparks cops seek armed suspect in attempted kidnap
SPARKS, Nev. (AP) -- Sparks police are looking for a suspect who brandished a gun and exposed himself to a woman during an attempted kidnapping.
Police say it happened about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday outside a convenience store on Victorian Avenue near the Rail City Casino.
The victim says the driver of a white van parked outside the store stated honking the horn and flashing the lights. When she approached, he moved into the passenger seat, opened the door and pointed a gun at her while exposing his genitals.
She says he tried to pull her into the van but she escaped. Two witnesses say he pointed the gun at them too before driving away.
He's described as Hispanic, age 30-40 with short brown hair and brown eyes. The windowless van had California plates.
