Woman stabbed at home near Decatur and Alta
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A woman is in critical condition after being stabbed Tuesday evening at a home near Decatur and Alta.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to a residence on Mission Newport Lane at about 5:30 p.m. after reports of a domestic disturbance.
Officers found a woman in her forties who had jumped from a second-story window. She was bleeding from several lacerations and a serious stab wound to the back.
The woman was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition.
Detectives said a preliminary investigation revealed a fight between the victim and her son's girlfriend escalated to violence.
The son's girlfriend and other occupants of the home are in police custody. Officers are sorting out the details of what happened before making any formal arrests.
