Las Vegas police department to help host comedy event
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and the Nevada Black Police Association are hosting a comedy night next week.
The event takes place Thursday, March 21 at the Casino Dallas Ballroom inside Texas Station Hotel and Casino.
Organizers are calling the event "Comedy in the 106" representing the zip code 89106 in west Las Vegas.
Comedians including George Wallace, Mike P and Symmie Mitchell are involved.
Local police hope the event serves as an opportunity for the public to view local authorities in a positive light.
