Child playing with matches starts Clark County fire
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Clark County investigators say a 9-year-old playing with matches started a house fire that caused $25,000 in damage over the weekend.
Firefighters say they responded a little after 4 p.m. Sunday to Count Wutzke Avenue, which is near McCarran International Airport.
They say they found a shed on fire, with flames extending into the home and on the house next door.
Crews say they were able to get the fire under control within five minutes, and nobody was injured.
Officials say the American Red Cross was assisting two adults and four children affected by the fire.
