Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A late winter storm has swept through Southern Nevada.

Mountains surrounding the Valley got hit with snow, while many lower elevations received rain.

Depending on the location, some areas saw heavy rain which caused local street flooding.

The Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort said their slopes have a fresh blanket of snow, totaling at least seven inches.

The fresh snow is expected to lead to a busy weekend at the resort.

But, the timing of the storm couldn't have been worse for NASCAR Weekend in Las Vegas.

Some qualifying events have been canceled due to the weather.
