Police officers who shot suicidal man Sunday identified
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The two officers involved in the shooting of a suicidal man on March 3 have been identified as Robert Makinster and Christopher Coloma.
Makinster, 28, was hired by North Las Vegas Police Department five years ago. Coloma, 28, has been with the agency for six years.
The officers are on paid-administrative leave while the shooting is under investigation.
Police officers responded to a residence near Ann Road and Valley Drive at about 7 p.m. March 3.
Upon arrival, 52-year-old Robert Crampton, who was reportedly suicidal, fired at the officers.
Makinster and Coloma returned fire.
Crampton was transported to the hospital in critical condition. His current condition is unknown.
If he recovers, he will face criminal charges for firing at the police officers.
