Woman killed in apparent murder-suicide identified

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Clark County coroner's office has identified the woman killed during an apparent murder-suicide Tuesday night in Henderson as 47-year-old Renee M. Bassett.
According to the Henderson Police Department, a 54-year-old man killed his ex-wife while their teenage son was in the next room before killing himself.
The 13-year-old boy called 911 at about 5:30 p.m. March 5. Upon arrival, police officers found the woman shot to death in her home and the boy's father was dead in his car parked in front of the house from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot.
The boy was not injured. The couple also had an 11-year-old son who lived with the father. He was also unharmed and both are being take care of by relatives.
The coroner's office has not released the identity of the man.
