County one step closer to banning X-rated news stands on the Las Vegas Strip
LAS VEGAS, NV (KTNV) -- Clark County Commissioners want to improve the flow of pedestrian traffic. They say there are things on the sidewalk along the Las Vegas Strip that need to be removed.
One of those obstacles are the magazine stands on the Strip which carry X-rated magazines. The commission will vote to ban those news stands from the strip at their next meeting.
They also plan to move fire hydrants, electrical boxes, and anything else that gets in the way of people walking down the strip.
The publisher of several of those X-rated magazines says this is all a ploy to rid the Strip of any X-rated content, which he says is a big reason why people come to Vegas.
The move to clear the sidewalk along the Strip will cost around 3 million dollars. If all goes as planned, that will happen next year.
