Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Ammar Harris' court proceedings were delayed on Monday, raising questions about what will happen next.
Action News spoke with Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson about Harris' request for an identity hearing.
By asking for an identity hearing, Harris' defense attorney wants the prosecution to prove he's the man police were searching for.
The request for a hearing buys Harris some time, but it's time that Wolfson said won't change his fate.
Once Harris returns to Las Vegas, he's set to face three murder charges.
Wolfson is confident that at his March 14 identity hearing, a judge will rule that Ammar Harris is in fact Ammar Harris, and order him back to Las Vegas.
That will take about a week, then prosecution against Harris can begin.
