Recent Las Vegas murder prompts rally to find answers
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- More than one week after a Las Vegas man was shot and killed near UNLV, local residents are still searching for answers.
20-year-old Quenshon Jackson was shot in the parking lot of an apartment complex near Harmon and Spencer in February. He died a short time later at Sunrise Hospital.
On Saturday, Las Vegas police spent the night meeting with members of the community in hopes of solving the murder
It was part the Shield of Hope Rally, put on by police and several non-profit organizations from around the community.
The goal of the event was to give officers the opportunity to interact with neighbors in hopes of getting new information on Jackson's murder, and also to make people familiar with police presence.
Police said they have some leads in the Jackson case, but the motive is still unclear.
