3 Clark County elementary schools to go year-round
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Three elementary schools in the Clark County School District will shift to a year-round schedule next year, Superintendent Dwight Jones announced Friday.
The schools that will go year-round are Robert L. Forbuss Elementary School, Carolyn S. Reedom Elementary School and William V. Wright Elementary School.
District officials say the year-round schedule will ease overpopulation.
The new schedule will begin in August of this year.
District officials acknowledge the decision was a tough one to make, but believe it's in the best interest of the students impacted.
Superintendent Jones said he doesn't think the year-round schedule will be permanent.
