Suspect in Boulder Highway apartment murder arrested in California

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A Las Vegas man,  27-year-old Christopher Henderson-Reid, was arrested in Los Angeles Wednesday night on the suspicion of killing a family member.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says that they responded to an apartment  on Boulder Highway shortly before 4 a.m. Wednesday morning to investigate a report of a deceased individual.

At that time, they found a male that was dead from what appeared to be strangulation. Homicide detectives learned that the deceased and Henderson-Reid had been in an altercation earlier in the evening.

An arrest warrant was issued for Henderson-Reid. The Los Angeles Police Department's Fugitive Team located the victim's car in their area and took Henderson-Reid into custody without incident. Wednesday night.

He was transported to LAPD's Metro Detention Center and is awaiting extradition charges.

The identity of the victim as well as the cause of and manner if death will be released by the Clark County coroner's office.
