Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Wynn Resorts has been named as one of the 2013 Forbes Five-Star Award Winners, according to a press release received today.

Forbes Travel Guide announced its 55th annual listing of five-star hospitality establishments Tuesday morning. It named the Tower Suites and spas at Wynn and Encore Las Vegas and the hotels and spas at Wynn Macau and Encore Macau in its list.

Combined, Wynn Resorts earned 40 stars. That is more than any other independent hotel company in the world.

This is not the first time that the Tower Suites in Las Vegas has been on the list. This year, the spas at the Wynn and Encore were also honored. Only four spas in Las Vegas made this year's list.

It is also not the first time that Wynn Macau and The Spa at Wynn Macau were bestowed Five-Star awards. However, it is the first time that Wynn Macau's sister resort Encore Macau was chosen.

“The Forbes Travel Guide annual Star Awards represent the best in class in luxury hospitality. Travelers seeking exceptional experiences rely on our ratings to guide them to the world’s finest hotels, restaurants and spas,” said Michael Cascone, President and COO of Forbes Travel Guide. “By continuing to evolve our ratings categories, we are establishing a global benchmark for the highest standards in hospitality service and facilities.”
