Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Two more Nevada landmarks are officially historic places. The National Register added the El Cortez Hotel Casino in downtown Las Vegas and the Washoe County Library in downtown Reno to the list.

The El Cortez remains one of the oldest establishments on Fremont Street. It was built in 1941 and is the only location in the area that still operates under its original name.
