Coroner identifies woman killed on sidewalk Sunday

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Clark County coroner has identified the woman that was killed Sunday on a sidewalk as 52-year-old Brenda K. Smiley of Las Vegas.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, a man driving on Sahara Avenue near Valley View Boulevard made an abrupt right, drove into oncoming traffic on Valley View Boulevard, and then drove up onto a sidewalk and struck two pedestrians.
The driver fled the scene but was later arrested by LVMPD for DUI-death and leaving the scene of the accident.
39-year-old Eduardo Planton-Sanchez was also transported to University Medical Center Trauma with moderate injuries.
The driver has been identified as 33-year-old Jason Manuma.
