District Attorney: Las Vegas constable won't face charges
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Las Vegas constable John Bonaventura will not face charges, the Clark County District Attorney said Friday.
Bonaventura was arrested February 12 on suspicion of drunken driving and speeding.
A preliminary breath test indicated his blood alcohol content was above the legal limit, but the breath test that could have been used against him in court indicated he was below the legal limit.
DA Steve Wolfson said evidence has called into question whether the constable vehicle seen speeding was driven by Bonaventura.
For those reasons, Wolfson said charges will not face criminal charges.
