It’s our favorite time of the week when we provide you with a list of things to see and do this weekend. Let's get right to the first event fit for locals and visitors in town!
Need a good reason to hit Fremont Street Experience this weekend? The Taste and Sounds of Soul Festival is back in town. Get out to 3rd/Ogden in front of D Hotel, adjacent to Fremont Hotel in Downtown. Now through Sunday, prepare yourself for food, cultural-custom jewelry, exotic Jamaican clothing and live music. Have fun and help the festival celebrate 12 years of success.
Then, in the world of UNLV sports, the women’s basketball team is back at home this weekend. They challenged Colorado State on the road on Wednesday. With no victory there, they’re ready to hit the court this Saturday against Wyoming. Get on out to Cox Pavilion. Tip off is at 3pm.
In case you haven’t noticed, physical challenges are a huge trend across the country right now. Just last weekend the Color Run was held here in Las Vegas, but this Saturday the Dirty Girl women-only National Mud Run series is in town. Rain or shine the first batch of dirty-girl runners hit Route 95 at 8:00 a.m. Proceeds from this event directly support the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
