Cab driver killed in car explosion on Las Vegas Strip identified
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Close friends of the cab driver killed in the car explosion on the Las Vegas Strip have identified him as Michael Boldon.
Friends and co-workers told Action News, 62-year-old Boldon was killed Thursday morning.
They said Boldon was driving the cab that exploded, after a Maserati slammed into it.
The Maserati driver had been shot, causing him to speed through the intersection of Flamingo and Las Vegas Boulevard, colliding with Boldon's taxi.
Boldon and his passenger both died on the scene when the car exploded, due to the impact. Police said the taxi was not a propane vehicle.
Boldon, who was from the Detroit area, worked for Desert Cab for two years and had lived in Las Vegas for about one year.
