New parking meters approved for downtown Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Parking in downtown Las Vegas is going high-tech.
Wednesday, the city council approved a plan to remove and replace outdated parking meters.
The new high-tech, solar powered meters will accept credit and debit cards.
Eventually drivers will even be able to use smartphones to find available street parking in real time.
The plan will also open up more free parking.
