Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Cox Charities is making Las Vegas a better place to live for organizations that serve the Valley.
On Tuesday, they awarded $150,000 in grant money to 35 nonprofits.
20 organizations will get $5,000 in grants. Another 15 will receive grants ranging from $2,000 to $4,800.
Cox Charities is funded by employee contributions and a variety of fundraisers.
This is the sixth grant cycle for Cox Charities.
Since 2007, they have awarded close to $1 million to local organizations.
